We at New Horizons Snorkel and Dive Centre prides ourselves on delivering the highest quality of training and regularly benchmark our teaching practices to ensure you are always given the very best attention whilst in our hands.

It is our aim to provide you with the most enjoyable learning experience. We keep our instructor to student ratios low so our team of  highly knowledgeable instructors and dive masters are always on hand to offer that personal touch. And you can rest assured that your comfort and safety is of paramount importance to us. In open water, we teach in dry suits and offer you nothing less.

We understand that everyone learns differently, so we adapt our style to make sure each and every one of you gets the most from our courses.

We are passionate about diving and the marine environment, care deeply about our profession, and always dive A.W.A.R.E.

What training do we offer?

As a PADI 5-star Instructor Development Centre (IDC) and National Geographic Centre we offer a complete schedule of PADI courses from Bubblemakers, Seal Team and Master Seal Team, to an Introduction to Snorkelling or Discover Scuba Diving, all the way through to climbing the ranks as a PADI Dive Professional. We also run private sessions so if you'd like some one-on-one time with an instructor, just let us know.

For those who have been diving for a while and maybe fancy something a bit different, we now offer IANTD Advanced Nitrox courses.

We also provide First Aid training, relevant for both divers and non-divers alike, in the form of Emergency First Response (Primary and Secondary Care) and Care for Children courses.

Where can we learn?

Most of your studying can be done at your leisure and in the comfort of your own home. Our Dive Centre in the heart of Macclesfield houses our classroom facilities which we use for Knowledge Review sessions. Some knowledge Review sessions and also confined water activities are completed at Macclesfield, Wilmslow or Lymm Leisure Centre, and also at Sandbach School, and by special arrangement, we also run courses at other private facilities. Open Water dives are completed at Capernwray in Lancashire or Stoney Cove in Leicestershire, or if you're coming on one of our trips, some of your training can be completed their too!
