DPV Diver

 

This course is designed to introduce divers to the skills and excitement of using diver propulsion vehicles. The course familiarizes student divers with the knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, potential problems and hazards associated with using DPVs.

With the increasing popularity of DPVs this course will allow you to rent and use DPVs in this country and when abroad on holiday.

  • Learn basic vehicle handling skills
  • Plan and execute safe dives with a DPV
  • Learn about equipment considerations with a DPV
  • Develop techniques to avoid damage/harm when using DPVs
  • Increase your safety, enjoyment and fun.
  • Gain a qualification to enable you to rent DPVs in the future

Not only is this a great course, but as a PADI Specialty, it also counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.

MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR COURSE:

  • Rental of DPV (if required)
  • Certification

MATERIALS YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Full SCUBA gear (available for hire at half normal price)
  • Slate & pencil
  • Your own logbook

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Minimum Age: 12 years
  • Minimum Certification: PADI Open Water or Junior Open Water

DPV Diver Pool Session

This session is designed to introduce divers to the excitement of using diver propulsion vehicles. The session will start with a short briefing and demonstration of the use of the DPV and cover a few basic safety issues. SEA-DOO
Seascooter VS SUPERCHARGEDEach participant will then get the opportunity to use the DPV wearing full SCUBA gear and if they choose snorkelling equipment.

Please note - This session is a great introduction to DPVs but does NOT lead to a PADI speciality certification and will not allow participants to rent DPVs. To gain the PADI Speciality certification, a one day open water course is required (see above) – £20 of the cost of this session will be deducted from the DPV Speciality course fee if booked within one week of your session.
