Deep Diver

 

What do the words "deep dive" mean to you... "cool", "dark", "mysterious", "exciting"... want to know more... want to know what's down there? if you've heard stories of wrecks or unique marine life hidden away at 30-40 metres and fancy taking a look, this is just the course for you!

If the call of the deep tempts you and maybe you're going on a trip where deep diving is available, this course is highly recommended. And remember, insurance policies do not cover you to go deeper than 30m unless you have the correct training.

COURSE OUTLINE:

Rosalie Moller at 34 metresThis course will introduce you to the techniques and skills of deep diving between the depths of 18m and 40m. The deep diver course is intended as a safe, supervised introduction to deeper diving within the limits of recreational diving.

  • Learn to plan your deep dives.
  • Develop skills of navigation and orientation at depth.
  • Discover how to use descent and shot lines.
  • Observe the effects of pressure on objects and yourself.
  • Practise safety stops and simulated emergency decompression stops.

Not only is this a great course, but as a PADI Specialty, it also counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.

MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR COURSE:

  •  Specialty Diver Crew-Pak including DVD or video

MATERIALS PROVIDED FOR COURSE:

  • Air fills
  • Teaching aids – Lines, reels etc
  • Certification

MATERIALS YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Full SCUBA gear (available for hire at half normal price)
  • Slate & pencil
  • Your own logbook

DURATION:

You will complete four training dives over 2 days.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Minimum Certification: Advanced Open Water
