PADI Enriched Air Specialty - learn to dive with Nitrox

The Course

Diving with Enriched Air (NITROX) allows you to extend your no-decompression limits and have shorter surface intervals. This is a great benefit for all dives and especially if you are planning a liveaboard dive trip. On the PADI Enriched Air specialty you will learn how to plan and execute Nitrox dives (22-40% oxygen) using both dive tables and dive computers. This certification will allow you to dive with Enriched Air on your next holiday and counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.

Course Outline

The PADI Enriched Air specialty course consists of knowledge development and practical exercises followed by two OPTIONAL open water dives. Initially you complete some self study using the PADI Enriched Air manuals, DVD and RDPs. You then attend a classroom session with a PADI Instructor, who will review your learning and carry out some practical exercises with you before completing a short quiz.
You may complete two optional open water dives using Enriched Air. This enables you to plan, conduct and experience Enriched Air dives, including analysing your gas and completing your logbook at the end. These optional dives would cost an additional £70 including equipment hire and Enriched Air fills.

Course Duration/Schedules

Having completed the self study using the course manual and DVD you will attend one classroom session at New Horizons Dive Centre. We offer a number of scheduled dates, but if these dates do not suit your requirements please contact us to discuss other possible schedules (small supplements may apply).
