Introduction to Dive Computers

COURSE OUTLINE:

This course will introduce you to the benefits and uses of modern dive computers. We will cover the setting up, monitoring and downloading of the current “Suunto” range.

Whether you have already bought or are thinking of buying a dive computer then you really do need to know how to use it safely.

• Understand the different features and models.
• Learn how and when to set the various user preferences.
• Make sure you understand what the alarms and alerts mean.
• Find out how to access the logbook.
• Look at how to download your data onto your PC.
• This is not a PADI Specialty course but is an invaluable aid to increased diver safety.

MATERIALS YOU SHOULD BRING:

• Your dive computer, if you already have one.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• Minimum Age: 10 years
• Minimum Certification: None
