Red Sea Liveaboard - 'Best of the Wrecks'

The Egyptian Red Sea provides UK divers with the closest coral reefs and clear blue water and is ideal to explore some of the best marine life in the world. The sea temperature in August is warm and the weather can be hot with a pleasant sea breeze. Visibility is excellent with 20m+ being the norm and the variety of fish and coral species is huge. A liveaboard boat is the best way to explore this diver’s playground, as some of the worlds most exciting reefs are literally on your doorstep.

Your adventure starts by flying to Hurghada airport and then transferring to the liveaboard vessel MY Blue Fin. Best of Wrecks allows divers who love wrecks to dive just that, so anyone who has an active interest in wreck diving, discovery and preservation. However, important to bear in mind is that as well as learning from experts about the wrecks specific to the Red Sea, divers will enjoy daily diving on very special Wrecks, making this an equally enjoyable week for those just wanting to enjoy the diving. The trip visits the Brother islands to dive the wrecks of the Aida and Numidia, which are on one of the best reefs in the Red Sea. 

DIVING:

BEST OF WRECKS (STANDARD) (S.S Thistlegorm, Ghiannus D, Carnatic, Chrisoula K, Seastar, Salem Express, Big Brother Island – (the wrecks of Aida & Numidia).

Best of Wrecks allows divers who love wrecks to dive just that, so anyone who has an active interest in wreck diving, discovery and preservation. However, important to bear in mind is that as well as learning from experts about the wrecks specific to the Red Sea, divers will enjoy daily diving on very special Wrecks, making this an equally enjoyable week for those just wanting to enjoy the diving. You will find that most of the wrecks in the Red Sea are there because they hit a reef!!, so on most of the dives once you have looked at the wreck you will be able to continue your dive along the reef giving the trip a nice mixture of wrecks and reefs. Some wrecks like the Thistlegorm stand on there own where they were sunk, however these wrecks in turn become reefs of there own and act as magnets to numerous types of fish. 

PRE-REQUISITES:

To participate on this trip you will need to be at least Advanced Open water certified or equivalent with at least 50 logged dives.                                                                         

M/Y Blue Fin:                                                                                    

Built to a superior standard, MY Blue Fin is a 39 metre super class cruiser accommodating a maximum of 24 guests in 9 twin berth cabins and 3 double master suites, all with en-suite and air conditioning. She has two sundecks, an air conditioned salon providing a 42" plasma flatscreen, TV, DVD, video, and home cinema system, 1 large and 1 small dining table and bar facilities. The spacious dive deck and platform are complete with all the diving and safety equipment required, including two zodiacs. She is also equipped for tech diving and NITROX.

PACKAGE:

This 1 week package offered by Blue o two includes 6 days diving with air, cylinders and weights ; 3 or 4 dives per day ; full board shared occupancy * for 7 nights on board ‘MY Blue Fin’; return flights Manchester to ‘Hurghada’ and transfers. Also included are all soft drinks tea and coffee. The price includes your Egyption Visa and Port/Park fees. The only additional costs you will have to budget for are alcoholic drinks and tips for the crew.

Please note:- Single supplement is not available. If booking as a single traveller, you will be asked to share a cabin with another member of the group. Same sex room partners cannot always be guaranteed.

It is required that you have travel and diving insurance for this trip. Please ask if you need assistance arranging this.

BOOKING:

To book your place on this trip, please complete a booking form and send it to us or call in with a deposit of £240 per person to Blue o Two plus the £79 New Horizons fee. Please note a 2% surcharge is made on all credit card payments to Blue o Two. Cheques must be made payable to Blue o Two and diving insurance must be paid for at the time of booking.

All holiday bookings will be subject to this ATOL holders booking conditions, a copy of which will be sent to you. When a booking and a holiday deposit has been received by New Horizons Dive Centre Ltd, a contract exists between you and the ATOL holder Blue o Two once New Horizons  Dive Centre Ltd issues a confirmation of booking. The client copy of the ATOL holder's confirmation will be sent to you. New Horizons Dive Centre Ltd can provide gear rental and run courses as required. The services of the instructor for courses and the gear rental available from New Horizons Dive Centre Ltd are the responsibility of New Horizons Dive Centre Ltd and are provided under a separate contract. These arrangements will be confirmed by us.
