PADI Search & Recovery Specialty
The Course
If you fancy doing some treasure hunting then the PADI Search & Recovery specialty is for you!! This course will teach you the techniques of locating objects underwater and then bringing them to the surface. During your four open water dives you will improve your navigation skills and search for both large and small objects. Having found them your job will be to safely bring them to the surface. A fun course and a fantastic way to improve your general diving skills. This certification will enable you to find and lift lost objects and counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.
Course Outline
After some self study using the PADI Search & Recovery manual and DVD you will complete four dives, over a weekend, with your PADI instructor.
Open Water dives, you will complete four open water dives along with some practice on dry land. During the course you will try various search patterns, tying knots, using lift bags as well as planning effective dives.
Course Duration/Schedules
Having completed the self study from the course manual and DVD you will complete your four open water dives at Capernwray (near Lancaster) over a weekend. New Horizons offer scheduled dates, but if these are not convenient please give us a call to discuss suitable alternatives (small supplements may apply).

Pre-Requisites
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification
Minimum age of 12.
Medical: You need to be in good health and reasonably fit, all students will need to fill in a PADI Medical Questionnaire prior to participation.
